Findings

Terms of Use

Effective October 10, 2026

1. About Findings

Findings is a research discovery platform designed to help people find, understand, and explore peer-reviewed research in clearer language.

Findings may provide research summaries, AI-generated explanations, citations, saved research, and links to original publications.

2. Research and informational use

Findings is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Content on Findings is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice.

Research findings can be uncertain, incomplete, conflicting, or change as new evidence becomes available. You should review original research and consult an appropriate qualified professional when making important decisions.

3. AI-generated explanations

Some Findings features use artificial intelligence to explain or summarize research. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or interpretations that differ from the original publication.

Findings is designed to ground research answers in sources such as peer-reviewed publications, but you should not rely on an AI-generated explanation as a substitute for the original research.

4. Accounts

Some features require a Findings account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless you notify us of unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Findings to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to interfere with, damage, or gain unauthorized access to Findings or its systems.
  • Use automated tools to excessively scrape, copy, or overload the service.
  • Misrepresent Findings content or AI-generated summaries as professional advice.
  • Use the service in a way that infringes the rights of others.

6. Research sources and third-party content

Findings may display research metadata, abstracts, citations, links, or other information obtained from third-party sources such as PubMed and research publishers.

The underlying publications remain the property of their respective authors, publishers, and rights holders. Findings does not claim ownership of third-party research.

7. Findings content and intellectual property

The Findings name, interface, branding, original design, software, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not give you ownership of Findings or permission to copy or commercially reproduce our proprietary materials except where expressly permitted.

8. Beta features

Findings may release features in beta, preview, or experimental form. These features may change, contain errors, become unavailable, or be discontinued.

9. Paid features

Findings may offer paid subscriptions or other paid features. Pricing, billing terms, renewal information, and cancellation options will be presented before you purchase a paid service.

10. Availability

We work to keep Findings available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability of any feature, or that all information will always be error-free.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

Findings is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Findings and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Findings evolves. When we make material changes, we may update the effective date or provide additional notice where appropriate.

14. Contact

Contact information for legal or support requests will be provided on Findings before public launch.

This is a general Terms of Use draft for the Findings beta and is not a substitute for review by a qualified attorney.
